Congratulations to the whole of the Virgin Strive Challenge team that have just successfully completed the journey from London to the peak of The Matterhorn in Switzerland.
The different legs of the journey saw the group complete three marathons from London to Dover, row the English Channel, cycle 900km to Verbier in Switzerland and hike seven days across the alps.
The event is raising money for Big Change, a charity founded by six friends including Sam Branson, Holly Branson, and Princess Beatrice. Other famous faces to take part in the marathon included Ben Ainslie, funnyman Jack Whitehall and singer Alexandra Burke.
According to The Daily Mail, Celebrity Big Brother 2014 was the raunchiest series yet. “Audiences have been hooked on the outrageous on screen antics of the celebrities, which involved a tumultuous love triangle, endless sexual innuendo, copious nudity, candid revelations, an X rated room, verbal battles, tears and tantrums.”
Apparently the outcome was pretty much the expected one with the bookies having made Jim Davidson, their 1/5 favourite. Having the last word on the enitre Big Brother experience Davidson said: “I’d like to give a message to the Celebrity Big Brother housemates who’ll be in the house next year: Follow this s***.”
Just before Christmas I shot several of the ‘House Mates’ for Channel 5. ‘TOWIE’ star Sam Faiers, who was out of the House in fifth place, was photographed not in Essex but in a bar in Shoreditch.
Incredible dental prosthesis, contact lens and makeup transform the cast of ‘Wolfblood’ from humans to wolves. The BBC fantasy/supernatural TV series follows the double lives of Maddy Smith and Rhydian Morris as they attempt to keep their secret concealed from the outside world.
A day in the spring was spent on set up near Newcastle photographing the cast for the current series. Needless to say I did check it wasn’t a full moon !!
The kind folk at ‘The Printspace’ have featured me today on their blog. This coincides with the launch of my new website:
It’s amazing to think ‘The Landrover’ has been around for over 60 years. Whilst photographing Stephen Wilks, it was fantastic to hear how his father, Maurice, developed the very first model immediately after the war. The feature and portrait can be seen in the current edition of ‘Onelife’ magazine.
For the same publication I had the honour of meeting David Attenborough. Photographing him with Tim Slessor reminisce over one of the first overland expeditions using early Landrovers.
I was up in Liverpool last December, shooting publicity pictures for the BBC drama, “Good Cop”. One day was on set, the other taking portraits of the leading actor Warren Brown. It’s a gritty series, seeing Warren Brown reunited with Stephen Graham. In the seven years since Warrington’s Warren Brown departed the teen soap “Hollyoaks”, he’s proven to be a true acting talent, with roles in acclaimed shows like Luther and Occupation. The series is currently being aired on BBC1.
